IP phones

This page will lead you to three types of phones:

"SIP" phones are designed to be used with VoIP phone systems, such as Allworx, that use a central control unit ("server" or "KSU").

"VoIP" phones are designed to be used with VoIP phone services such as Skype or Packet 8, but not used with a phone system that has a central control unit ("server" or "KSU")..

Analog phones can be used with VoIP phone systems that have analog extension ports, or connected directly to phone company dialtone. This section includes cordless phones and conference room speakerphones.

Some people may disagree with these distinctions, but they help us sort out the phones, in a new and evolving technology.
